Monthly payment calculator

Estimate the payment before you shop.

Combine vehicle price, trade-in equity, taxes, fees, APR, and term to see the estimated monthly and lifetime cost.

Decision inputs

Build the estimate.

Change any assumption. The result updates immediately.

State selection applies a base statewide sales-tax estimate; local and vehicle-specific rules can differ. Title and registration fees stay editable when no verified estimate is available. Credit-tier defaults use Q1 2025; APR remains an assumption, not a lender quote or approval decision.

How to estimate a useful monthly payment

Start with an itemized vehicle price rather than a payment quoted by a seller. Enter cash down, net trade value, any trade payoff, APR, term, estimated tax, and required title or registration charges separately.

Use the result to compare written offers with the same amount financed and term. A lower payment is not automatically a better deal when it comes from a longer term, a larger down payment, or financed add-ons.

Decision checklist

  • Verify the out-the-door price before choosing a term.
  • Keep APR editable because a credit tier average is not a personal quote.
  • Compare both monthly cash flow and total interest.

Next decision

Take the estimate into a lender comparison.

These estimates are a planning starting point.

Actual approval, APR, taxes, and fees depend on the borrower, vehicle, lender, and location. Compare a written offer using the same principal and term.
